For more than a decade, I.D.A. has supported "Of Color and Ink", a documentary feature film that traces the footprint of the world's most famous Chinese artist Chang Dai-chien, and explores his unique personal life and creative career, particularly his overseas experience after the founding of New China in 1949.
In the past 10 years, Director Weimin Zhang has accomplished intensive research and interviews in the U.S, Brazil, Taiwan, Japan, and many regions of China. Weimin and her team have traveled and filmed over 200 hours of interviews of Chang's close families, friends, disciples, scholars, collectors, and artists throughout the world. She uncovered and secured a great deal of valuable, rarely seen, and unknown visual and audio material from India, Argentina, Brazil, California, Japan, Taiwan, and Europe.
